Children’s Dentist: Everyone Genuinely Cared About my Son – Karen B. 

Over the weekend my son fell and almost knocked his two front teeth out. After a long trip to the ER we were instructed to see a dentist first thing Monday morning. When I called and explained the situation PCD made an appointment time for him within just a couple of hours. We were greeted with smiles as always. I just love this office. Everyone you cross paths with once you walk through the doors goes out of their way to be kind to you. I’ve never experienced another business like PCD. I absolutely love it here. The hygienist played with my son, let him pick a toy, and patiently showed him how things worked in his exam space. She and Dr. Kyle patiently listened to him tell stories. After going through 3-4 dentists in the last two years I have finally found the perfect place. Just got a much-awaited root canal done yesterday and the thought of the whole process was making me really, really nervous. I do not have dental insurance this year and everyone in the office including Dr. Theo worked very cooperatively with me to make the root canal as financially convenient as possible. The office was even able to move my appointment up by two days when I called and told them how much pain I was in. “I had damaged a tooth over the weekend and was in serious need of some emergency work. Made a call to Personal Care Dentistry and they were able to get me in fairly quickly. The reception staff was courteous and friendly and the new patient paperwork was simple and straightforward. My wait in the waiting room was pleasantly brief and was able to get in exam chair within minutes. The dental assistants were friendly and professional. The dentist was also pleasant and professional. There was no scolding over the condition of my teeth…no lectures, etc. The dental team did their preliminaries smoothly and efficiently and a course of action was quickly formed. I was appreciative of them administering pain relievers and numbing agents right away before anything else, because the pain I had been experiencing was an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. They explained the actions they were going to take, asked if I had any questions, and throughout the whole procedure kept asking for feedback to make sure my experience was as painless as possible. They were able to take care of the critical things within the space of an hour and a half. All in all, and truthfully, it was the most pleasant, positive and relatively painless visit I have ever had to a dental office. The rooms were light and airy and comfortable. Interestingly enough, on a side note, my neighbor also happened to be there. That speaks something given the size of the community. Teeth cleaning and exam. I was impressed with the work done by the hygienist and liked her personality as well. She communicates to let you know what she is doing. She got a warm blanket when I told her I was cold! She gave me some suggestions as to what I could do at home to stay on top of my gum issues. I enjoyed seeing the photos that Dr. Hunt took that were on the screen and all around the office walls. Also liked the music that was playing in the room. For a very long time I needed a root canal but was stalling because I couldn’t muster the courage (I know…). Finally, after a lot of research and reading reviews I held my breath and went for it. OMG!! I’m kicking my behind for not doing this sooner (even the receptionist was super friendly when I called to schedule). When my appointment came, I met with Nancy and Dr. Kyle for my consultation. They were very professional, listened to what I had to say, and we decided on a treatment plan. Two days later, I went in for my root canal. I was offered blankets and headphones to ease the anxiety and I took it! The procedure was smooth and stress free. Dr. Kyle offered to explain everything he was doing, but I just wanted to get the tooth done and over with so I told him it wasn’t necessary. We were shorthanded at work and I put off making an appointment for a tooth that was throbbing and couldn’t even be touched. Five days later it was unbearable and I was able to see Dr. Hunt on short notice. He numbed my mouth before he did anything and, within an hour he had cleaned the abscess and was able to preform a painless root canal! When the Novocaine wore off I had very minimal discomfort. I didn’t even need pain medication! On top of that, Dr. Hunt was kind enough to take a few minutes and review my dog’s dental records and photos with me! I hadn’t been to the dentist in a few years and dreaded trying to find a dentist. I saw this group on Angie’s List and they had so many great reviews, so I decided to make an appointment. I needed a good cleaning and a look at a problem tooth. I found everyone to be very welcoming and pleasant. The front desk personnel were very thorough, helpful and nice. The dental hygienist was amazing and has been with Dr. Hunt for a long time, you can tell she likes her job! She gave me a tour of the office first (it’s beautiful!) and answered all my questions about my cleaning and my concerns about my teeth. She could not have been better. My teeth feel great. I met briefly with Dr. Kyle Hunt and he looked at my one back tooth and we talked about options, but he was not pushy, which was appreciated. Dr. Kyle thanked me for coming in and answered all my questions. I enjoyed meeting him. I will definitely be back for a crown and I already scheduled my next cleaning in six months.
